Here’s good news for people in Hyderabad. Passengers will get free Drinking Water at every metro station, on the start of commercial operation of the metro stations. The Hyderabad Metropolitan Water Supply and Sewerage Board (HMWS & SB) has already started providing water connections to metro stations.
The HMRL will use revenues from the sale of tickets and will also use the structures like mall and multiplexes. The Water Board said that, they will charge tariffs to the metro stations under the commercial category and for non-operational metro stations, they will charge domestic tariffs.
Each metro station has been allotted a unique ‘consumer account number’ by Water Board and using this account number, stations will have to generate monthly water bill. HMWS & SB officials said that, they will be supplying, 50 lakh litres of water per day to each metro station.
